Why use the Molinillo set in the preparation of your ceremonial cacao?
1. Spiritual & cultural connection
Personally, I found it so unique to prepare my ceremonial cacao with the Molinillo because it gives me an understanding and feeling of how the Mayan people have prepared their cacao for thousands of years during sacred rituals 🤎
It thereby creates a connection to the cacao, because it is like going back to the roots of her embrace by the Mayan people.
2. Texture & the beautiful rainbow bubbles
Ceremonial cacao has always been admired for the beautiful rainbow bubbles that can appear on top after preparation.
Cacao is therefore referred to as "rainbow medicine" because many peoples believed that the medicine, the wisdom of the plant, resided in the bubbles.
Therefore, the intention behind using the Molinillo set is to prepare a beautiful cup of ceremonial cacao that has these healing bubbles for the soul.
In addition, the texture also gives a pleasant feeling in the mouth and enjoyment, which gives a sense of wholeness 🤎
3. Infuse your drink with love & thereby the gift to Mother Earth
By using the Molinillo set, you will manually create your ceremonial cacao with love or another form of beautiful intention.
The Mayans consider this a beautiful gift to Mother Earth, as everything will later be given to her in their ceremonies.
Let it also be an invitation to you, so that you also thank Mother Earth for this gift in the form of ceremonial cacao.
The Mayans also believe that the preparation of ceremonial cacao is best without the use of metals (pots, blenders, metal whisks, etc.).

Use & cleaning
- Be careful to use a pot or cup that is large enough and start slowly after adding cacao & liquid
- If the cup or pot is not large enough, you will most likely spill
- Hold your Molinillo between both hands, one on each side, and roll it while creating movement and thereby bubbles, foam, and love for your cacao
- If you have made your cacao with a very thick consistency, the bubbles may be harder to produce. You can therefore add extra liquid.
Remember to clean after use. Warm water is enough.
Let it dry before putting it back in the drawer, otherwise it can develop mold due to moisture 🥰
Please note that the size may vary slightly from what you see in the picture, as it is made of wood and handmade.
