How do I use doTERRA oils?

Use them as fragrant aromatherapy that opens your senses and awakens your emotions.

You can use the oils in a diffuser or oil burner and let the scent spread through your rooms. You can dab a single drop on your wrists, forehead, chest, or other energy points on the body that call for it. There is no right or wrong. What you feel is always right.

You can also mix the oils into a fragrance-free base oil and create your own favorite scented body oil.

Citrus oils & sunlight - be aware

Never use essential oils from the citrus family directly on the skin without diluting them with some type of oil (almond, coconut, shea butter, etc.).

Citrus oils have astringent properties, meaning they have the ability to renew and strengthen our skin. At the same time, they minimize pores, oil, and signs of fatigue.

So, even though they are wonderful for skincare, they also make them photosensitive, so their properties can cause chemical burns if you apply them in their concentrated form before going out in the sun.

It is recommended to wait up to 12 hours after applying in concentrated form before being exposed to direct sunlight.

However, I would always advise you not to apply in concentrated form, but to use a lovely blending oil as mentioned earlier in this section.
It may be a good idea to apply them to a less sensitive area such as the inside of the wrist and see how your skin reacts to the oil before you might want to use them in your facial skincare.

Warning

Possibility of skin sensitivity to the product. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or under treatment. Always avoid contact with eyes, inner ear, and other sensitive areas of the body. Never use the oil undiluted directly on the skin.
