doTERRA Adaptiv

Yet another of the soothing oil blends created by doTERRA, truly one of the most fragrant oils.

Adaptiv is also available as a Touch Roller, which you can apply directly to the skin.

The oil is sweet, uplifting, fresh, and calming just by its scent. This oil possesses the same quality. Therefore, it is part of doTERRA's "Calming Blends" series, because the blend of oils helps create inner peace.

I always have this oil at home because it is so mild and soothing. Adaptiv is inspired by the English word "adapt". Created with the intention that you can strengthen your ability to adapt to life's circumstances, new insights, and what you encounter within yourself.

Therefore, I often use it as an integration oil in my spaces with meditation, ceremonial cacao, and body-oriented trauma therapy. Because integration is so important in therapeutic contexts, so that we don't just repeat life in exactly the same way after a deep process. But can learn to settle into the new, which can sometimes feel so new that it also feels empty.

How do I use doTERRA oils?

Use them as fragrant aromatherapy that opens your senses and awakens your emotions.

You can use the oils in a diffuser or oil warmer and let the scent spread through your rooms. You can dab a single drop on your wrists, forehead, chest, or other energy points on your body that call to you. There's no right or wrong. What you feel is always right.

You can also mix the oils in a fragrance-free base oil to create your own favorite scented body oil.

Citrus oils & sunlight - be aware

Never apply citrus essential oils directly to the skin without diluting them with some type of oil (almond, coconut, shea butter, etc.).

Citrus oils have astringent properties, meaning they have the ability to renew and strengthen our skin. At the same time, they minimize pores, oil, and signs of fatigue.

So, while they are wonderful for skincare, they also make them photosensitive, so their properties can cause chemical burns if you apply them in their concentrated form before going out in the sun.

It is recommended to wait up to 12 hours after applying in concentrated form before exposing yourself to direct sunlight.

However, I would always advise you not to apply them in concentrated form, but to use a lovely blending oil as mentioned earlier in this section.
It can be a good idea to apply them to a less sensitive area, such as the inside of your wrist, and see how your skin reacts to the oil before you consider using them in your facial skincare.

Warning

Possibility of skin hypersensitivity to the product. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or undergoing treatment. Always avoid contact with eyes, inner ear, and other sensitive areas of the body. Never use the oil undiluted directly on the skin.
