Opening prayer

A prayer to invoke Ixcacao into your space. You can read it aloud to yourself when enjoying a moment with cacao. You can even read it aloud in your own spaces if you hold space with Ixcacao in a ceremony

There is something very beautiful about setting intentions with your cacao, so it's not just about drinking a cup of cacao while you're busy with many other things.

Because that is what Ixcacao invites you to do. To cherish the present moment, to accompany you in the energies of consciousness and embrace. To create inner harmony and connectedness.

Therefore, it is also valuable to do this when creating your cacao - for yourself and for others when you hold ceremonies. The same applies to opening the space.

Because when you hold a ceremony, you create a time capsule that you or your participants can step into. Guiding you into a unique energy of the present moment and the people who are there - and see what is created in this spiral of energy that creates synergy.

 

When I have held ceremonies, I have always opened the space intentionally in this way

Because in this way there is presence and awareness - as well as asking Ixcacao to accompany us. Support us. And when it's just me - settle in.

This has often been wordless or silent.

But now, I have finally written an Opening Prayer that can inspire your own, give an understanding of working with Ixcacao. With the reminder of gratitude, love and respect - in humility for Ixcacao.

Dearest Ixcacao

Mama Cacao, Spirit of Cacao, Masterplant

Mother, teacher, friend, embracing spirit

Our dearest plant medicine and ally

Thanks to Mother Earth, Father Sky

To the animals, the elements, and all living things

And that which we cannot see, but co-exists

for this gift we have been given

Thanks to the people who came before us

who have preserved you, fought for you, honored you

It has not always been easy for them, so we carry them in our hearts,

So that today we can sit here and let our souls receive sacred nectar,

Thanks to the people who brought you here

Let you grow in love, with care and respect

We invoke you

With gratitude, respect, and love

Ask you to accompany us on our inner journey

In this circle of friends

To remind us of what we already know but have forgotten

To offer us important learning so we can grow

To occupy the forgotten places within us so we can feel whole

With wonder

we observe the visual and inner sight for what you will show us

With readiness

we observe our hearing for what you will whisper to us

With presence

we observe our body for what sensations you will give us

With non-judgment

we observe our feelings for what you will bring us into contact with

With curiosity

we observe our hands and touch to see what you will awaken

With willingness,

we observe our nose and tongue for what our memory will be nourished by

With strength,

we observe our inner landscape for what you bring us into contact with, which we already know deep down

Knowing that everything is a gift, what you accompany us in

Even if we cannot always immediately see the gift in it

We place it in our inner medicine bag.

So it is with us when we are ready to become aware of it

Let it happen. Let it remain. Let it pass.
