New Year's Ritual with Ceremonial Cacao and Oracle Cards

The New Year is a wonderful opportunity to reflect, set nourishing intentions for the year, and welcome a new beginning.

I would therefore like to invite you to do so with a loving and present ritual.

Below you will find a simple New Year's ritual that you can perform at home with a cup of cacao and your favorite oracle cards.

New Year's Ritual with Ceremonial Cacao and Oracle Cards

1. Create a lovely and nourishing space: Create a calm atmosphere, for example, with candles, a soft blanket, a comfortable seating arrangement, possibly a notebook, and your favorite oracle cards if you have them.

2. Prepare your cacao: Make a cup of ceremonial cacao just the way you like it. You can start your ritual here by being present, making your cacao with love, slowness, and gratitude.

3. Settle into your space with your cup of cacao: Start by closing your eyes and taking a few deep breaths. Allow yourself to land. Stretch your body and sit in a comfortable position. When you feel ready, you can begin to drink your cup of cacao at your own pace. As you drink your cacao, you can reflect on what you wish to leave in the old year and what you want to invite into the new.

4. Make use of your notebook & your oracle cards: Let the cacao spirit support you in feeling what is true for you. Write the four questions below in your notebook or use them as inspiration to create your own:

• What have you learned and experienced in 2024 that you are especially grateful for?
• What will you let go of and leave in 2024?
• What will you take with you from 2024 and bring into 2025?
• What do you wish to create more of in 2025? (Let it be a few but important intentions, and write nourishing actions for each intention so that it fits into your daily life)
  

- Take all the time you need to tune in and answer the questions while drawing cards.

- For example, you can draw one card for each question, or you can draw one or more cards for the new year. Do it in the way that feels right and nourishing for you.


This New Year's Ritual can support you in gaining an overview of the past year, as well as your wishes for what you would like to create more of for yourself in 2025.
