Inspiration for spices in your ceremonial cacao

Spices in your cacao

I love playing with tastes and aromas, energies and nuances in my cacao. 🤎

Letting Mama Cacao guide me through strong, sweet, sour, bitter, warming, cooling, exotic impressions, depending on where I am in my process, in my cycle, in my life.
And depending on what I feel needs extra focus in our co-creation.

A cup of cacao is not just a cup of cacao – it's an experience. 🤎

Besides the taste and aroma experiences, spices also have many good properties that can support you in different ways in life.

I have explored quite a few spices and producers over the years, and to make it easy for you, I have chosen to include some of my favorite spices in the shop, so you can easily buy them with your cacao order.

There's no right or wrong

When it comes to spices in your cacao.
And you certainly don't need 10 different kinds of spices.
Keep it simple. 🤎

But if you're curious, here are some suggestions for good spices and other things that are truly great in your cacao:

Grounding Spice Mix - Is made for those who want it to be easy and delicious. Consists of lucuma powder, Ceylon cinnamon and cardamom. The combination of spices perfectly complements the natural taste of cacao and works so well together.

Ceylon Cinnamon - a warming spice that goes well in cacao and regulates blood sugar. Also found in the grounding spice mix.

Vanilla powder - is my preferred spice and acts as an aphrodisiac, stimulating sensuality and femininity.

● Chili or Cayenne pepper - Increases the fire, enhances the absorption of your cacao and is especially good if you also add sweetness to the cacao.

Cardamom - a warming spice that also increases metabolism and balances the cacao. Also found in the grounding spice mix.

● Reishi & Chaga - delicious superfoods available as powder. Comes from mushrooms, nutrient-rich, invigorating and is so delicious for balancing the taste of cacao.

● Lucuma powder
- fruit from Peru, which gives a caramel-like sweetness. It is rich in nutrients and is almost always part of my cacao no matter what. Also found in the grounding spice mix.

● Maca powder - a popular root from Peru, which is a bit bitter, but very nutritious and provides a good deep balance to the cacao.

● The peel of orange &/or lemon - oh, if you have the opportunity to get the peel and avoid the white from the rind, it gives a natural aroma and brightens up the cacao. Works best if you blend your cacao.

Dates - Provides natural sweetness and a really delicious taste. Remember to blend so you get a smooth and creamy cacao without date lumps.

Spices and other delicious ingredients - Here I have gathered everything I have in the shop that you can use to make a delicious cup of cacao.
