"When I first tried Ceremonial Cacao, I decided it wasn't for me😅 "

"What made you try Ceremonial Cacao?"

I had heard about Ceremonial Cacao several times, but I thought it wasn't for me.

Maybe it was a bit too hocus-pocusy?

I mean, I thought… What will I get out of it, it doesn't really make sense to me 😅?

Buuuut then I felt that Camille's workshop, with active meditations, was calling to me, and here you could choose to pay a small extra amount to meet for a short cacao ceremony before the workshop itself.

I figured I should give it a try, now that I had heard so much about it.

To be continued under the next question.....

"How was your first experience with Cacao?"

Sooo, I settled in comfortably and thought, "now I'm actually looking forward to tasting and experiencing all the wild things I've heard cacao can do."

But I just found that it tasted really, really bad 🤣, and I didn't actually feel like I experienced anything different either?

Sooo, I was a bit confirmed that this cacao thing probably wasn't for me.

"What made you keep going then?"

A loooooong time passed before I tasted cacao again…

I had decided that it wasn't for me and that I neither liked it nor could get much out of drinking it 😅

But then, later, many months after, when I started Camille's education in Breathwork and trauma release, cacao was served every morning before meditation.
(of course, we chose whether to drink it, but I felt a HUGE yes to it in my body, even though my ego was super skeptical).

We even received a free bag of cacao on the first module, so we could go home and make it ourselves :O

..... and honestly, my first thought was, "I don't even know what to do with this?" ..... because I had already decided that this cacao thing wasn't for me, right?

The first couple of mornings we drank it, I had to get used to the taste, but after just a FEW times, it grew on me, and I started to LOVE it.

I was now really looking forward to going home and experimenting with the bag of cacao I had received.

I even started drinking it several times a week before meditating, before holding 1:1 sessions, etc.

And I began to feel this energy from the cacao (which I had heard others talk about).

And I felt that the cacao supported me in landing even deeper in my body and also experienced gaining more and deeper insights (compared to when I didn't drink it).

So it was a journey for me where I didn't feel called as such, but rather that ceremonial cacao appeared and wanted to be part of my life, without me having much choice 🤣 haha.
(I believe we always have a choice, of course, but I felt more that the cacao chose me rather than the other way around.)

Today, I often drink cacao, alone and with others, and have held several cacao ceremonies.

And I LOVE it!

These are such wonderful moments where I experience a greater opportunity to connect with myself, with others, and with beautiful mama cacao & nature within and around me.

At the same time, I have learned a lot about the physiological elements that cacao contributes to, and it surprises me time and again what a powerful plant medicine it is and how incredibly many benefits there are to it.

"What have been the greatest gift/benefits for you in bringing Ceremonial Cacao into your life?"

Ugh, it's hard to say what the greatest gift has been.. Because I feel there have been many!

I love using cacao as a ritual in my own practice, to connect with myself.

It makes me calmer, more present, and gives me a deep connection to nature.

It really feels like drinking nature 😅 I actually find the experience I get so hard to describe because it's an experience that needs to be felt in the body and which, for me, is incredibly difficult to put into words.
At the same time, there are many variations in my experiences from time to time as well.

"Who can cacao make a difference for - in other words, who would you recommend ceremonial cacao to?"

I would say that cacao can make a difference for EVERYONE and especially anyone who wishes to connect deeper with themselves and nature.
