Boost your joy, connectedness, and connection with ceremonial cacao
Why is it that we can use cacao to boost the experience of joy, connection and deep contact with ourselves and others?
Perhaps you find it a bit fluffy when we talk about cacao and its potential effects on the body.
That's why I want to share my more scientific knowledge - so it might become a bit more down-to-earth and concrete.
The neurotransmitter anandamide
Cacao contains one of the most amazing neurotransmitters, called Anandamide - which can help boost the experience of more joy, connection, and deeper contact with ourselves and others.
The name Anandamide comes from the word ‘Ānanda’, which in Sanskrit means bliss
Anandamide is naturally produced in the brain and is found in areas responsible for memory, higher cognitive processes, motivation, and movement.
Researchers have discovered that it can reduce the feeling of pain, regulate hunger, and amplify feelings of reward and joy.
Cacao contains small amounts of Anandamide, making it the only food in the world 🤎
Anandamide can further be seen as one of the most powerful neurotransmitter substances, as it can alter our consciousness and help activate our heart chakra.
And in fact, Anandamide is also the primary transmitter activated in the womb when a baby is conceived and throughout the first trimester of pregnancy. 🤎
Natural pleasure molecule
It is also a natural pleasure molecule that can help activate the same feelings - such as when we experience deep lovemaking or orgasmic energy.
Isn't it wonderfully amazing that ceremonial cacao supports you in so many ways?
I would love to hear from you in the comments what you got out of reading these words 😍
