doTERRA Vetiver

Vetiver is known for being cell-renewing, soothing, and strengthening blood circulation - belonging to the grass family, but it is one of the thickest oils you will encounter, which many believe has a beneficial effect on your nervous system.

This is one of my absolute favorite oils for creating grounding and a sense of balm for my nervous system. Because the natural thickness of the oil is a good example of how it protects, almost creating a seal around your nervous system.

Scent: it is deep, sensual, and full-bodied. It is not sharp, but has its own unique scent. From grass and resin.

Vetiver also supports you emotionally

• Grounding: it belongs to the grass family, but its root system grows downwards, unlike other grass species. Therefore, it makes good sense that it nourishes your energy system in the same way when using Vetiver oil.
  
  
• Calming down before bedtime: due to its grounding effect on your energy, it is wonderful to use the oil before bedtime. Lie down in your bed, apply Vetiver under your feet, and then go to sleep and notice what the oil does for you. Feel free to give it a few days or a couple of weeks and observe your sleep.
  
  
• Body contact during meditation: I personally use this oil a lot when holding space for others during cacao ceremonies and meditation sessions, because meditation, in my world, is about being fully present in the body. So that meditation does not become an escape to other dimensions, but rather an enjoyment of your "human-ness."
  Use a carrier oil such as coconut, almond, jojoba oil, or whatever you enjoy, and use a few drops to apply to your wrists, third eye, or under your feet before your meditation or time with your ceremonial cacao.

How do I use doTERRA oils?

Use them as fragrant aromatherapy that opens your senses and awakens your emotions.

You can use the oils in a diffuser or oil burner and let the scent spread throughout your rooms. You can dab a single drop on your wrists, forehead, chest, or other energy points on your body that call to you. There is no right or wrong way. What you feel is always right.

You can also mix the oils into a fragrance-free base oil to create your own favorite scented body oil.
